No problem! Come catch your first wave in Strandhill! All equipment is provided and you can get change and take a shower in our on-site changing facilities. Just bring yourself, your swimsuit and a towel.
All essential equipment is provided and our coaches are full certified with the Irish Surfing Association, Water Safety Ireland and Child Protection. As well all of them are garda vetted.

Excellent! Now, progression is key! Our coaches will assess each surfer in the water and give individual goals to achieve during the lesson. All equipment is provided and you can get change and take a shower in our on-site changing facilities. Just bring yourself, your swimsuit and a towel.

MAKING A LITTLE PRO SURFER
No better way than a week in the water!! In our Summer Swell Camp they will learn how to surf, read the beach and respect the ocean. Monday to Friday loads of positive energy and knowledge

How much does a surfing lesson cost?
The surfing lesson cost wary depending on few conditions.- Price for courses for kids starts from €25 for 2-hour course.- Cost of the lesson for adults starts from €35 per 2-hour session.- Summer Swell Camp for kids cost €120 per week.Find out more about available courses and options here:ÂDo you operate surf lessons all year round?

No. Wetsuits and surfboards that are attached to participants at all times when in the water provides sufficent buoyancy. Also we will never take any participant into a water depth that they feel uncomfortable in.For more details see the available lessons section.ÂIs all the necessary equipment included in the cost of the lesson?
Yes. In our Surf School we supply you with high quality, warm, flexible surfing wetsuits. We also supply everyone with beginner surf boards, which have soft tops and flexible fins, to provide sufficient safety.ÂWhere do we meet for our surf lesson?
All participants are asked to show up in Surf N Stay: Strandhill Lodge, Hostel & Surf School 30 mins prior to the lesson time. Get directions in Google Maps.On the site you will be fitted with a wetsuit and sized with a surfboard.ÂWhere can you change in and out of the wetsuit?
We have dedicated male & female changing facilities, with indoor showers as well as a toilet. These facilities are conveniently located at our surf school.
What do I need to bring for the surfing lesson?
The only things you need to bring with you is a towel, swim suit, sun protection and sandals. We provide you with all necessary surfing equipment.
What safety equipment will the instructors have?
Our instructors are qualified beach lifeguards and will have full rescue tube and first aid kit with them at all times.What qualification do the instructors have?
All our instructors have both level 1 Surf Instructors and Beach Lifeguard Qualification. Four of the senior instructors have also got level 2 qualifications and each have an average of 15 years experience in surfing the local waves. The safety of all participants is assured during all sessions.
Will I be cold in the winter?
You should never be cold in a surf lesson. During the winter months (November to April) we supply booties, gloves and hoodies with 5mm-thick winter wetsuits. With the right equipment you are warm in the water. And we provide that for you.
Is it possible to rent a board if you have never done a surf lesson?
No, rental of equipment is not available outside of surf lessons.
